Sherlyn Chopra Becomes Playboy's First Indian Model

Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra will be the first woman from India to appear in Playboy magazine’ November 2012 edition.

Chopra, 28, said she wrote to Playboy telling them of her interest in posing for a photoshoot. Playboy responded, after a few days, that they accepted her offer.

“It is not an easy task to be nude in front of the camera and look good at the same time,” said Chopra.

Her choice to pose in the magazine has caused some controversy in India, where Playboy is banned. Insiders day the controversy is not significant as a result of the magazine’s ban in India.

Sources close to the matte say Chopra will appear on the magazine’s cover and is referred to, on the cover, as “Bollywood Godess Sherlyn Chopra”

Chopra previously published a nude photo of herself on her birthday, January 12, on Twitter.

Chopra, born in Hyderabad, India in 1984 and won the title of Miss Andhra while she attended college. Although she is said to have achieved high grades in college, yet lost interest and decided to pursue a career in the Indian film industry.

This comes just days after Lady Gaga posted a nude photo of herself on her web site and amid Carly Rae Jepsen’s nude photos allegedly stolen from her computer.
